8 Activities You Can Do at Splashway Campground While Social Distancing

Tired of being stuck in the house for days? Well, we have an escape for you! We are happy to report that camping is an approved activity under the state-mandated social distancing guidelines! So you can spend a night, a weekend, or even the week at Splashway Campground and enjoy the great outdoors while staying safe.

WE’RE DOING THIS…

We aren’t nicknamed the cleanest waterpark & campground in Texas for nothing! We’re taking all health & safety measures very seriously so you and your family can have a stress-free vacation. We’ve always had a strict routine in place for cleaning our community areas with disinfecting chemicals and that hasn’t changed. In addition, we’ve implemented the following for additional sanitation throughout the campground:

• Installed hand sanitizers with clear signage at entry locations to community areas
• Installed mobile hand washing stations at the pond area and each playground
• Increased frequency of our sanitizing process in common areas and touch points including doorknobs, faucets, counters, etc.
• Increased number of cleaning staff
• Implemented a stay-at-home policy for any Splashway team member showing any signs of illness, including common-cold.

We’re taking extreme precautions to keep our campgrounds clean and safe for your family so that while you’re here, you can enjoy all of the following.

Play in the Pond!

Our pond is big enough for several people to fish, kayak, and paddle boat while maintaining the proper social distancing methods.

Putt-Putt

Take a go on the green with your family and see who is the Putt-Putt Champion! All Putt-Putt equipment is sanitized by trained staff so each family can enjoy a game together.

Outdoor Laser Tag

Not your average laser tag course, ours is all outside in the great outdoors! We may limit the number of people per round, but there’s still plenty of fun to get your heart racing for a round or two.

Hiking and Biking The Grounds

We have an entire 65 acres to explore! Bring your bike or try out one of our pedal carts to see the campground in a whole new way.

Campfire Cookouts

The campground has all the equipment you need to build the perfect fire to cook up some grub and toast a tasty s’more (or two….or three!).

Scavenger Hunts

Calling all explorers, we’ve got a map at the Camp Store with treasures hidden around the campsite! Keep your group small and tackle the list by splitting up.

Stargazing

Find the perfect spot on our 65 acres to watch the stars. We’ve got maps at the Camp Store so you can learn the constellations!

Activity Booklets

Pick up your activity booklet at check-in and enjoy the array of crafts, activities, and games we’ve put together for your kiddos to enjoy from the campsite or across the campgrounds!
