FAQs – What to Expect for New Year’s Eve at Splashway

Since Splashway has never hosted a New Year’s Eve bash before, we’ve been getting some questions from people about what to expect. We thought we’d take a moment to answer everyone’s top questions!

How much does the event cost?

This event is 100% FREE for our campground guests! We wanted to provide a special getaway for the families joining us for New Year’s Eve, so all you have to do is book a cabin, cottage, or RV space to attend.

Can I bring my own fireworks or sparklers?

We do want to discourage families from bringing their own fireworks. We’ll be shooting off fireworks for New Year’s Eve, so don’t worry about packing your own. However, if you’re a family of sparkler-lovers, please feel free to pack your own!

What activities will be available?

For New Year’s Eve night, we will have live music, fireworks, and we’ll all ring in the New Year with a countdown! In addition to that, our regular campground amenities, like pedal carts, kayaks, and outdoor games, will be available. For a full list of these amenities, visit our camping page.

What’s the difference between a cottage and a cabin?

A cabin is equipped with 3 queen beds and 2 full beds, a kitchen full of appliances, essential kitchen cookware and utensils, a screened in porch, Satellite TV, and a fire pit. If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort on your trip, the cabin is right for you.

A cottage is lodging on a smaller scale. It has one full sized bed and 2 twin beds, a microwave, a mini-fridge, and Satellite TV. If you have a smaller family or are coming as a couple, a cottage may be the best option for you.

How should I prepare for the weather?

It is December, so the weather will be chilly! Make sure to pack warm clothing and extra blankets to bring outside for the celebration. Stay up to date on the weather forecast for New Year’s Eve at Splashway here.

What happens if it’s raining?

This would put a damper on our fireworks but, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will do our best to still make the night memorable for everyone!
