Calling all chili connoisseurs and salsa superstars! The Presidential Chili Rally is simmering up hot, and this year, we’re bringing the spice (and the prizes!) to a whole new level. Dust off your secret recipes, get those taste buds prepped and mark your calendars for an epic day of flavor explosions.

Chilli Categories & Winners:

• No Beans: Unleash your inner purist and battle it out for the “Beanless Best” crown. We’ll crown 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place champions in this fiery category.
• Beans: Let the legumes loose! Simmer your hearty creations to perfection and compete for the coveted “Beantastic” title. Top 3 bean-filled masterpieces will be triumphant.
• Grand Champion: And the ultimate winner is… The undisputed king (or queen!) of chili in all its glorious forms! Bean or no bean, the Grand Champion takes home bragging rights and a prize haul fit for a culinary leader.

Chili Cook-Off Cost & Awards:

• Entry Fee: $20
• Prizes: Each Top 3 winner in both categories scores a coveted Splashway Gift Card and a trophy to proudly display. And for the Grand Champion? Double the Splashway joy and double the trophy glory!

Salsa Showdown: ️

Ready to turn up the heat with some tangy, vibrant dips? Our Salsa Showdown lets you salsa your way to victory in two scorching categories:

• Red Salsa: Bring the fire with your classic or adventurous red salsa creations. We’ll award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the most mouthwatering salsas that make chips disappear in a flash.
• Green Salsa: Go green with envy (of other contestants, not this awesome competition!) Show off your zesty, herbaceous concoctions and compete for the top green salsa spots.

Salsa Cook-Off Cost & Awards:

• Entry Fee: $10
• Prizes: Each Top 3 winner in both categories grabs a trophy and a Splashway Gift Card to cool down after all that heat.

Rules & Details

Chili Rules & Judging:

• Must be camping with us to enter.
• Chilli will be judged on Taste, Red Color, Aroma, Consistency and After Taste. No white chili.
• Chilli must be cooked at a campsite or one of our lodging options.
• You can begin cooking at any time after check-in.
• Chili Turn-In is at 5pm next to the Hideaway Stage on Saturday
• 16oz. Judging cups will be distributed upon check-in, with a ticket taped to the bottom and a matching ticket in the cup. Cup will be pre-labeled for beans or no beans. The cup must be used for turn-in with the original ticket taped to the bottom. Keep the extra ticket, as this is how we will announce the winner. Please fill 3/4 of the cup with chili.
• You can participate in both categories (bean and no beans), but two entries are required.
• No canned chili. It must be Homemade. No fillers such as rice, chips, pasta, etc…
• We will announce the top 3 winners in each category and one Grand Champion overall at 7pm at Hideaway Stage.
• We will post the top 10 winners in each category next to the stage at the Hideaway.
• Both Bean and No Bean Categories will follow the same rules.

Salsa Rules & Judging:

• Salsa will be judged on Taste, Red or Green Color, Aroma, Consistency and After Taste.
• You can begin cooking at any time after check in. 
• 16oz. Judging cups will be distributed upon check in with a ticket taped to the bottom and a matching ticket in the cup. Cup must be used for turn in with the original ticket taped to the bottom. Keep the extra ticket as this is how we will announce the winner. Please fill 3/4 of the cup with salsa. 
• No premade salsa accepted. Must be homemade. 
• No Chips to be turned in. We will provide our own chips for tasting.
• Salsa Turn In is at 2pm next to the Hideaway Stage. 
• We will announce the top 3 winners in each category at 7pm at Hideaway Stage. 
• We will post the top 5 winners in each category next to the stage at the Hideaway.
• Red and Green Salsa Categories will follow the same rules.
